LLOYD BROWN
Lloyd played No. 1 singles and doubles at Truman State before beginning his career as a tennis teacher and coach. As a teaching pro, he worked with Earl Buchholz Sr. and Bill Price and was St. Louis’ junior development director, winning National City Championships in 1967 and 1969 with teams that included Jimmy Connors and Trey Waltke. After serving as coach at University City High School, Lloyd began a 22-year stint at Jefferson College, where his record was 449-97. He helped start the tennis program at Missouri Baptist, starting as coach in 2005 and then director of tennis operations in 2009.

BEN BISHOP
Ben was the first Armory-trained St. Louisan to achieve high national rankings after World War II. In boys 15s, he was No. 9 nationally in 1946. A finalist at the National Junior Indoors, he was chosen for two years for the U.S. Junior Davis Cup team. At Colgate University, he won the Eastern Intercollegiate doubles, and in 1953 he captured the St. Louis District championship.
