RALPH HART, SR.
Ralph won more than 120 tournaments spanning the 1940s to the 2000s, including many with Ward Parker as his doubles partner. He won the District singles in 1941 and 1947 as well as the doubles five times from 1950 to 1955. Ralph was No. 2 in Missouri Valley singles in 1950 and 1952 and won the National Public Parks 55s singles. In the U.S. 65s, he won the clay court doubles in 1988 and the National Senior Olympics singles and doubles. In 1948, Ralph started a clinic for tournament players that lasted 20 years.

DICK HORWITZ
At Country Day, Dick was the state high school doubles champion with Neil Drury from 1953 to 1955, losing just one game total in those three finals. In U.S. boys doubles, he was ranked No. 4 with Butch Buchholz. Dick was No. 3 in Missouri Valley junior singles and runner-up in the national junior indoor championship. At No. 1 singles at Washington University, he lost only once in three years. Dick won the District men’s singles three times and the doubles four times, and he was men’s champion at the Midwest Open. He and Jerry Johnson won the National Public Parks in 1962 and 1977. After turning pro in 1963, Dick won the Midwest Open pro doubles with Larry Miller.
